It's SpOOky Season!
And what's spookier than car emissions, traffic accidents, and poor sidewalk infrastructure? This month, we're teaming up with the Nondrivers Alliance and Transportation Choices Coalition to celebrate a Week Without Driving!
With fall fully here and hopefully more bus service coming soon, let's talk about what frequent transit and nightlife means to you! Vibrant, safe, accessible and complete communities are an absolute must for nondrivers. Join us at Stoup Brewing in Capitol Hill, and we'll have PRIZES from transit agencies from all over!
Come learn about how more buses and more homes go hand in hand and how our coalitions advocacy efforts can help bolster better connections across all parts of Seattle! Grab a drink, cheers your neighbors, and come celebrate with the Complete Communities Coalition as we fight for more homes, of more types, in more places, for more people.
We hope to see you there!
Date: Wednesday, October 7th, 2026
Time: 6-7:30pm
Location: Stoup Brewing, 1158 Broadway, Seattle, 98122
Whether you have been following the drawn-out comprehensive plan progress or you're just now learning about it, all are welcome to join partners of the Complete Communities Coalition (CCC) for our monthly Comp Plan Happy Hour events! These in-person events are a great opportunity to meet new people, get connected to the CCC community, learn more about our city's Comprehensive Plan and how you can help make an impact.
We are in the middle of a housing crisis in Seattle, with about 144,000 new homes needing to be built by 2040 to meet our growing population. We're also in the midst of a climate crisis, and adding more housing to Seattle could potentially lower our greenhouse gas emissions to 50% below the national average. How? By having a strong public transit system and 15-minute walkable communities, we could dramatically lessen our dependence on cars, making our communities healthier and more vibrant.

Nondrivers Alliance is a grassroots organizing project that taps into the power, expertise and passion of nondrivers to move our communities beyond car dependency.
Week Without Driving is growing the nondriver movement: Week Without Driving shines a light on that reality and invites everyone to experience, reflect, and share what life is like without driving. It’s a chance to understand daily life for the millions of people who cannot drive due to age, disability, income, or other barriers. It’s an opportunity to tell your story and help reimagine what transportation options could look like in your community.
