Pass Mandatory Housing Affordability in Seattle!
Seattle needs more homes; help make it mandatory for income-restricted affordable homes to be built as we grow!
As anyone living in the Seattle area knows, we need more homes of all shapes and sizes to meet our growing population; we also need to ensure that some of these new homes are reserved for our low-income and working-class neighbors. That is exactly what the new Mandatory Housing Affordability (MHA) program does. By enacting small rezones in Seattle’s urban growth centers, we will be increasing the capacity for new homes and will also ensure that Seattle’s income-restricted affordable housing stock continues to grow for years to come.
Send a note to your Seattle City Council Members and to the Seattle Mayor's Office to let them know that you support making Seattle a more equitable and inclusive city!

I urge you to pass this legislation and keep in mind that the MHA program is not enough to solve our housing shortage; it's only one tool in our toolbox and we must keep working on innovative solutions.
