It's only February, and yet, it feels like 2026 has lasted a lifetime. So come decompress with your favorite housing advocates! With the next Phase of our Comp Plan underway, our focus will be shifted to upzoning in "Centers and Corridors", otherwise known as Neighborhood Centers and Transit Corridors. Upzoning in these areas is one way that we can boost transit, grow small businesses, and better connect communities across the city!
This month, we're gathering at Old Stove Brewery in Queen Anne to share updates on Seattle's Comprehensive Plan and test your knowledge with a round of housing trivia! Grab a drink, cheers your neighbors, and come celebrate with the Complete Communities Coalition as we fight for more homes, of more types, in more places, for more people.
We hope to see you there!
Date: Wednesday, February 25th, 2026
Time: 6-7:30pm
Location: Old Stove Brewing, 600 W Nickerson Street, Seattle, 98119

Whether you have been following the drawn-out comprehensive plan progress or you're just now learning about it, all are welcome to join partners of the Complete Communities Coalition (CCC) for our monthly Comp Plan Happy Hour events! These in-person events are a great opportunity to meet new people, get connected to the CCC community, learn more about our city's Comprehensive Plan and how you can help make an impact.
We are in the middle of a housing crisis in Seattle, with about 144,000 new homes needing to be built by 2040 to meet our growing population. We're also in the midst of a climate crisis, and adding more housing to Seattle could potentially lower our greenhouse gas emissions to 50% below the national average. How? By having a strong public transit system and 15-minute walkable communities, we could dramatically lessen our dependence on cars, making our communities healthier and more vibrant.
